It is one that focusses on sustainable materiality through upcycling PVC canvas into bags, repairability of stainless steel tubing rack and functional simplicity found in the relationship between hardware components. Intersecting Materiality and Form
‘Up-Goose as a total carrying system, presents a unique intersection of a industrial steel tubing rack, flexible compression TPU rack hardware and soft flowing PVC canvas bag materials. This divide between elements is bridged through flowing forms of the Up-Goose rack and paired bags, which invoke a sense of movement, flight, and unity between elements. ‘Up-Goose’ pannier rack hardware unifies typically separate bag and rack cargo attachment components. Plug style compression fitting enables secure integration with pannier rack steel tubing and utilises a snug snap fit to securely hold onto the tubing slid inside the ‘Up-Goose’ pannier bag sleeve backings.
